CODY is doing amazing!!

Thank you for all of your prayers.. Cody is doing amazing!! He had his procedure several weeks ago and he did awesome! The good news is besides a heavier reflux medication & time-- there's nothing more that needs to be done. GOD is awesome for working through my sweet baby boy and YOU are awesome for praying along side us through this difficult time. Thank you again so much... it really means a lot!!

Please pray for Cody...

For many months... well pretty much his whole life, Cody has been fighting with: breathing issues (low oxygen levels), pneumonia 4x, brohnchitis 5x, many viruses, 7 ear infections, 3 hospitalizations, etc. Tomorrow he goes in for tubes and a bronchoscopy at 9:45am at OU Children's Hospital. With no complications this procedure should take around 30 min give or take a few (I'm guessing). Please pray for my sweet boy-- and God's hands with the doctor during this procedure. Please pray for peace for Cody. We know that everything will be okay & we leave everything in God's hands. Hopefully by the end of the day we will get some answers & a clear diagnosis of why he keeps getting so sick. Thank you for reading and thank you for praying! We believe GOD hears EVERY prayer!

Photo Shoot Preview!!!

Here are some pictures from the boys recent Photo Shoot! It was VERY windy outside which made the shots a little hard & the kids a little cranky. Through it all my kiddos stuck it out (like troopers) and finished the entire 1 1/2 hour session! Curt even decided to strip in the middle of the stores & run around with just his undies and bow tie (that pic not included!) =-) All in all we had a great time & look forward to many more photo shoots down the line!
Cody is almost 7 months old & Curt is 3 1/2!!

God worked a miracle in Cody.

Well, it's been a crazy 6 months here in the Martin household! Our poor lil' Cody has been struggling with Pneumonia and breathing problems for some time now. After 6 nights of 24 hour rooming in with the baby... not knowing "what" was exactly wrong with him... I just asked God to take control! None of the doctors or nurses could tell me "why" things were happening like they were. There were tests performed because they thought that Cody's little body would soon just "give up". All of the uncertainty & tearful days/nights made me realize that I needed to put 100% of my trust in Christ-- in that HE knew what was best! All of this was a wake up call for me as a mommy. I couldn't take away the pain from my sweet baby but GOD could... and He DID! Your prayers and God's strength truely got us through this rough time. Cody is a fighter and he brings so much joy to my life. Like the ER nurses said a couple months ago, "Cody is a fighter... he is TURBO!" Well, I'm glad to say that after all that he has gone through... Cody still puts a SMILE =) on his little face. Here are a few clips from his hospital stay the last day and his "coming home"! Again, thanks for all of your prayers... it meant a lot!

SAHM I am

Yes , for those of you who do not know... I am a proud SAHM I am of 2! SAHM is short for "stay at home mom" and pronounced "sam i am". With two boys at home all day all I can say is, "my days are pretty busy"! When I wake up in the morning, or when the baby's soft cry wakes me up, my days begins as follows:
  • wake boys up

  • change diaper/bathroom

  • wash up

  • eat

  • play

  • sleep

  • change diaper/bathroom

  • wash up

  • eat

  • play

  • education time

  • watch tv

  • sleep (nap)

  • wake up

  • change diaper/bathroom

  • play

  • watch tv

  • change diaper/bathroom

  • eat

  • change diaper/bathroom

  • play

  • bath time

  • get ready for bed

  • change diaper (again)

  • sing songs/read/pray

  • sleep

and repeat.....

don't forget those night feeds and diaper changes too!!

Yes, that is what my day consists of and "yes" I choose this job. I know most SAHM's don't get the credit they deserve. So, for all of you stay at home mom's "Good job doing what you're doing"! It would be so much easier doing other things or getting a full time position somewhere. But... I have to say that the "little things" I've been able to witness & experience were all worth it! And hopefully, if God allows, I can be a SAHM for as long as my boys are home. Thanks to all the wonderful husbands that support their wives by working hard & making a lot of sacrifices!

And, a big "Thanks" to my husband, Brian, for letting me follow my dream and for supporting me this far to do what I've always dreamed, "be a mommy"!

Balancing Cody B!!

Our little baby is now 4 months old and starting to balance like a pro! He's been our "balancing baby" since he was barely 3 months old! It's just amazing the strength these little kiddos have. Seems like yesterday he was in the womb and now look at him?!! I love you so much Cody!! *kisses*

Cody's Laugh =)

We visited with our friends the Cobb Family the other day. Thanks to Rachel & Tony we were able to capture little Cody laughing on video. He just started "really" laughing only a couple of weeks ago! It's so wonderful & sad at the same time... how fast our babies grow! Well, sit back and enjoy watching this short clip of our littlest man =-)

Welcome

Welcome to my new Blog!!! Thanks to Rachel Cobb I have FINALLY started my new page! I will try and keep you updated with pictures and videos of my life as a SAHM of 2! Around my house there's never a dull moment! Thanks for visiting & I hope you enojy =)
